I've teamed up with 'DailyLook' to create a mood board on my take on the classic piece and it's a rather unique one, if I do say so myself. An LBD covers anything from the prototypical black cocktail dress to a black oversized maxi (HINT*) and what I love about this is how everyone can incorporate their own style into it. DailyLook have a section on their site dedicated to little black dresses which you can find here and the abundance of LBD's left me spoilt for choice when creating this StyleSet.
As I said before, this garment is essential to every woman's wardrobe, not only because of the fact that it's the perfect option when you're lost for what to wear but because of it's convenience and versatility. If you are having one of those days where you are hysterically screaming into the ill-suited pile of clothes on your bedroom floor, 'I HAVE NO CLOTHES' simply, take a deep breath, pull out your LBD and shoes of your choice (unless that will cause more hysteria, then just go bare-footed) and already you will look effortlessly well put-together and no one will ever need to know about the semi-breakdown you had prior to this! Not only does black have a slimming effect but it also co-ordinates with any other colour you may choose to wear making the 'black' part of this piece, in my opinion, the best part.
When creating my mood board, I felt especially inspired by the Olsen twins. I think everyone can agree that Mary-Kate and Ashley have always had impeccable style; from their days on 'It Takes Two' in their denim dungarees to the launch of their own couture fashion label, 'The Row', I have followed the twins every move in fashion and will continued to be inspired by their impeccable style in the future. Their influence on my own style and outlook on the fashion world is what inspired me to base this StyleSet on them along with the LBD I chose to use being named after them as the 'Olsen Maxi Dress'. My choice of dress is definitely not what comes to mind when you hear the phrase 'Little Black Dress' but it's a piece I fell in love with when I came across it on DailyLook.com and I couldn't resist to use it for my mood board. As it says on the StyleSet, I think this really is a chic and easy piece that would look stylish for any occasion which is the soul purpose of a Little Black Dress and why I decided this piece would be the perfect choice for me!

Lebanese designer Elie Saab based this show on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon and his hometown, this stimulus was revealed on Instagram hours before the show took place. The collection itself took us back to the 60's with feathers, sheer fabrics and ostentatious embellishments everywhere in sight.
Saab always creates dream-like collections and Haute Couture really is his forte. Although the designer knows how to keep it classic with beautifully tailored feminine gowns, the S/S15 collection included some more modernised dresses with shorter hemlines that were worn with flats, ensuring that this show seemed as whimsical as it did extravagant.
It's pretty obvious that I don't have a bad word to say about Elie Saab when it comes to couture and if there every comes a day when I don't feel the need to rave about their collection during couture fashion week, start worrying! Here are some of my favourite looks from the show...
Let me know in the comments what your favourite show from Couture fashion week is so far and watch this space for more reviews on the upcoming collections! Xo

Day three was my favourite day of all, shopping (and of course, a little bit of sightseeing). We started our day at the Arc De Triomphe, a dazzling piece of architecture with some really interesting stories behind it. We then made our way down the Champs Elysees and did a fair bit of shopping but who wouldn't when surrounded by every designer shop you could think of?! Next was the Galeries Lafayette, the most incredible shopping centre I've ever visited and coming from a serious shopaholic, that's saying something. We enjoyed ice cream on the rooftop whilst admiring unimaginable views, an experience I re-live every day. After a long walk through the streets of Paris, we headed to a metro station and made our way back to the River Seine where we found a hidden away restaurant and enjoyed a traditional French meal. To end the trip of a lifetime, we headed back to the Ponts Des Arts and witnessed the Eifell Tower lit up which was something words cannot describe.
